New public member appointed to Lakeland College Board of Governors
Edmonton... Pat Redden is the newest public member to be appointed to the Lakeland College Board of Governors. Advanced Education and Technology Minister Dave Hancock announced Redden's appointment on November 23.
"Ms. Redden's career and volunteer experience will be a definite asset to the Lakeland College's Board of Governors," said Hancock. "The College plays an essential role in Alberta's post-secondary system, especially in rural Alberta, and I look forward to working with Pat and her colleagues on the Board of Governors to look for ways for Lakeland's role to grow and evolve in the coming years."
Ms. Redden has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and has been involved in the health care profession in a number of different positions for more than 30 years. She has participated on various community leagues and organizations, as well as raised three children on a farm in Lloydminster.
With campuses in Lloydminster and Vermilion and a Learning Centre in Strathcona County, Lakeland College is an important part of Alberta's advanced learning system that offers a variety of learning opportunities to students in several communities around Alberta.
